Waihī Beach School operates an enrolment scheme.
Parents of students who live within the home zone and intend enrolling their child at any time during the next year should notify the school by 15 October 2024 to assist the school to plan appropriately for 2025.
Any children who do not live in this zone can apply to be considered for a place in the following year. If more students apply than there are out-of-zone places a ballot is held to determine which students are enrolled. Information about this process is listed in the attached information sheet.
Important dates to remember
In 2025, there will be 2 enrolment periods.
3rd February 2025 through to 27th June 2025 or the last day of Term 2.
For students seeking enrolment within the first enrolment period, the deadline for receipt of applications for out-of-zone places is 15 October 2024.
14th July through to 16th December 2025 or the last day of Term 4.
For students seeking enrolment within the second enrolment period, the deadline for receipt of applications for out-of-zone places is 1 June 2025.
If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot.
If a ballot for out-of-zone places is required, ballots will be held on 30th October 2024 & 16th June 2025.
Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
